This class is aIl about the upper body – upper back, shoulders, and neck! If you carry a lot of tension in your upper body, suffer from back pain, neck pain or headaches, sit at a desk, feel like you’re constantly in a “hunched” position, or simply want to keep your body limber and healthy so that you continue to move well and remain upright for years to come this class is for you!

 

We’ll move through the yoga sequence paying particular attention to the upper body – including both postures that help to release tension and pain as well as postures that help to build upper body strength and mobility.

 

This class is suitable for any level of experience with yoga.  Those new to yoga will enjoy the slow movements to warm up the body before the yoga postures and those with more experience with yoga or other movement modalities will take their awareness of their body to new levels through practices designed to bring our unconscious movement patterns (movement blind spots) into our awareness.

 

Leave the class each week feeling more upright, taller, and with a boost of confidence!
